3 Reasons To Feature Art in Your Home

Hey home-lovers! Curious why you should display art in your home? Although family photos are an important element in every home, I always recommend adding some art here and there, whether if be a focal point or mixed in with your gallery wall.

No matter what your home style or your budget is, there are beautiful paintings, prints, and drawings that can add a unique design element to any room in your home. There are so many reasons why you should incorporate art in your home, here’s three!

1.

Art provides an instant color palette. Right now there may be a simple color palette in your living room (ex: blue, grays, browns), so I would choose art pieces that tie in all your colors as well as a few complimentary colors (ex: green, neutral tones). Paintings are especially good at this!

2.

Art creates a focal point. Every room needs a focal point. For example, a painting on the fireplace mantle instantly draws your eyes into the space and gives a sense of what to expect. When choosing an art piece for a focal point, the most important thing to consider is size.

3.

Art makes the room appear finished. Art can really elevate the overall style of a room. It’s that extra touch that can take your space from simply looking functional, to appearing magazine-worthy beautiful!

So there you have it! Are you convinced it’s time to shop for some art? My favorite store is Juniper Print Shop because they have a good selection of affordable pieces that range from traditional to modern, and small to very large size options for every print.

I realize that shopping for art can be a little overwhelming, especially when you haven’t done it before and have no idea what would compliment your space. Please reach out to me if you would like help figuring out what style and medium of art to shop for, or would like me to completely take over the shopping for you. I’d be so happy to help you out!

Cheers!
